The PBO opted to base its model on $50 CAN, assuming that cost would be low enough to encourage Canadians to apply. At $55, they predict, such a program could be full cost recovery. At $100 per application, it would make a profit!

Here is the link to the PBO report. TLDR? The PBO estimates that setting up and running a domestic verified traveller program would cost $7 million over 5 years. That’s predicated on a cost of $50 CAN per application. (The NEXUS card, by contrast, costs $120 US, plus travel costs.)

Stefania is 104 years young. She immigrated to Canada from Poland, when she was 12 years old. She insisted on signing the #ForeverCanadian petition, so her friend drove her to the Callingwood farmers’ market today to sign it.

Our poling station was packed with people. Took over an hour in South Calgary.
Just voted at an advance 🇨🇦 polling station. Lines 25+ at each poll, and not just seniors. Great to see.
