All of these books are super important and wonderful to have. I highly recommend them.

My favorite pictures from this past year that don't have my kiddo in them. 💖

I went to Mexico City and Cuernavaca last week for a wedding and fell in love.

My favorite part of the trip (besides the beautiful wedding) was visiting the ancient pyramids in Teotihuacan.

Lastly, Mae leaves Indara’s lightsaber behind.

I think this is a sign of respect. In Star Wars lore it’s super disrespectful to take a lightsaber. Later, Mae takes Kelnacca’s & Jecki admonishes her for it.

That Mae leaves it be when it’s sitting right there says a lot.

I love this show. ❤️‍🔥

Mae is not happy or rejoicing in what she’s done. Instead she just looks resolute.

More evidence in my book that there’s more history between the two of them.

Mae is only able to kill Indara because she uses Indara’s desire to protect the barkeep against her.

The look on Mae’s face shows that she’s barely able to believe she was actually able to do it herself. Luck meets wit meets opportunity. Mae is so quick on her feet and utilized each perfectly.

Mae’s made her decision and Indara knows what she’s going to do. She looks at her like a teacher looks at a naughty student, almost like she’s saying “Don’t do it. You’re better than that.”

AGAIN it’s like their relationship goes beyond what we see on Brendok! 😩

This bozo should’ve been out of the noodle bar by then. But he provides the perfect opportunity for Mae…

Indara, you’re in danger girl. She keeps underestimating Mae and letting her guard down. That’s why Indara gets got. 😔

This is Qimir-ass taunt. I’m absolutely certain that Mae learned how to get into a Jedi’s head (by poking at their sense of honor) from Qimir. This is something he would say.

Lightsaber time! And more swooning over Mae Aniseya from me. ❤️‍🔥🥰❤️‍🔥

This is where I swoon. I do not know how anyone could avoid falling for Amandla in this stance calling knives into their hands with the force.

It's hot. It's badass. It's everything.

This is not the face of a woman who is surprised to see Mae alive. She knew!

I also think this is an exchange between 2 people with a ✨little✨ more history between them than what we saw on Brendok.

…and confirms which twin she is! No one will ever convince me that Indara didn’t know Mae was alive this whole time. THIS part of this scene as well as a line Torbin says in a later episode makes me SURE that Indara and Torbin doubled back to Brendock and got Mae off planet when she was a child.

The fight between Mae and Indara intensifies until Indara unmasks Mae…

Mae is playing with Indara like a cat at first. Disappearing. Reappearing.

You can see Indara start to take Mae more seriously as the fight progresses. Her defensive blocks and moves get more powerful until she’s literally force pushing Mae back across the catwalk.

I think you can really see “The Strangers” training/influence in this scene as well. Mae’s fighting style is ingenuitive. She’s pushing the fight to a fast pace & keeping Indara on the defensive. Qimir’s style is similar.

Indara doesn’t want to fight but Mae forces her to by using the patrons.

Mae is so badass in this scene. Even Indara agrees lol.

Great opener ❤️‍🔥

You really get a taste of what you can expect from the series in this scene. Indara clocks that Mae is an unidentified force user right here, when Mae breaks through her force block. That’s why she asks “Who trained you?”

All my favorite R&B/Pop/Rap girlies with a VERY heavy Acolyte/Acolyte edit influence. And Kendrick. What a year! 😂💖
