i really enjoy his character development...... from someone who's had a good home life, wholeheartedly believing that pure effort and skill are enough to survive in the world -> being made aware through ruggie/leona that there are inequities that effort alone cant overcome

and instead of complaining abt getting a single cookie, he's like "it feels kinda nice getting neatly wrapped sweets outside of birthdays" and carefully keeps it in his pocket 🥹
