I think we really missed Saliba/Gabriel especially on the ball and for midfield control. They just provide on-ball security which I’m not sure I fully appreciated. If we’re just missing one, the other can compensate but missing both? Not ideal.

All I can figure is that lacking both Saliba and Gabriel creates a bunch of on-ball issues…

I think the Zubi one, in particular, is wrong. My issue is that those cards are inconsistent with the lack of fouls called on Caicedo. Which led to his dangerous tackle

I don’t understand how caicedo keeps getting away with it…and the Arsenal cards are defensible but not really in the context of the game as it’s being called

Goal from Bayern doesn’t change this view. It just feels like a very high level game between two roughly equal teams. That have a lot of respect for each other.
