It was weird yesterday seeing a bunch of Atari 7800 on the front page of a popular game store (not specialized in retro at all) right between new PS5 and Switch games. 😅

Wow, advising people who don’t have high income to gamble with their 2000$ sounds like just the kind of sound financial advice a successful businessman that would run the country like a business would give.😂

Never eaten one of those birds. They were beaten with an ugly stick but I imagine they could taste good if done well. I‘d like to try it someday.
Around here you eat goose for Christmas. Also a pretty big bird. I love it but it also depends on wether the person cooking knows how to do it well.

Your point is understood, but I don´t feel it´ll have a positive effect for anyone. Imo it plays into the old narratives that people on the left can´t take a joke and worry more about form than about the actual matters themselves. Imo it´s a losing approach putting more people off than it wins over.

I‘m not American so it’s not directly my issue but I think this is global: posting about this so much is a prime example of why many people feel the left is nitpicking everything and everyone in a purity test.

I‘ve been following the project for a few years now and I love the enthusiasm and wish them the best.
The complete rewrite is worrying though. All the graphical assets should be fine but redoing the coding sounds like a herculean and expensive task assuming someone is paid to program. Best of luck!

I honestly think that the fact that these kinds of jabs lead to criticism is a major reason why the left is often regarded as lacking humor and the ability to recognize what’s important. It‘s not about analyzing every word under a microscope and sanitize behavior to the max.
Imo it’s a good post.

SEGA‘s PAL manuals were the worst. Instead of making one section of the manual English, one German, one French etc they felt it was a great idea to put all languages on each double page in columns. One column with English, next to one column in German etc.

My guess is the writer may have known some German or just used a dictionary and come up with a basic dialogue scene between lovers talking some ridiculous stuff.

For Trevor his pronounciation is worse but I am sure he said „gnädige Frau“, an old fashioned way to say Misses. It‘s barely used unironically anymore because it feels like adressing someone of higher standing (literally gracious lady). For American writers faking a classic Opera I could imagine it.

Im Prinzip werden ja seit Jahren im Kern immer wieder dieselben Maximalforderungen Russlands als neu wiederholt.
Und dieser Plan basiert weitestgehend auf jenen Forderungen.

I am really getting worried. I’m afraid that while we feel Russia‘s economy may be on its last legs before the people rise up they feel similar about Ukraine. Continued pressure from Russia and every once in a while a sneaky kick in the knee by Trump until Ukraine falls while Europe looks away.😓

Iirc the converter is even more simple than that. It just serves as a passthrough since the cartridge shape and pin layout for Master System carts is different.
Afaik if the carts would fit out of the box the MD/Genesis could do without a converter but SEGA wouldn’t have made some extra cash.🤑

Sollte man, aber ich glaube dass das 99% der Fußball-Fans anders sehen. Die finden Trump und die USA als Austragungsort vielleicht nicht gut, aber haben die WM lieber so als garnicht.
