Great day at the Media Literacy Ireland Conference today.

We talked a lot about the #DiscussAI programme & @aphrak.bsky.social presented #AlgowatchEU before joining Eileen Culloty & Donal Mulligan for an enlightening session on Media Literacy in the Age of AI.

a panel discussion at the Media Literacy Ireland conference (#MLIConf24), focused on the topic "Media Literacy in the Age of AI". The panel features three experts:

    Dr. Eileen Culloty (Moderator, DCU School of Communications)
    Dr. Aphra Kerr (UCD Centre for Digital Policy / ADAPT Centre)
    Dr. Donal Mulligan (DCU School of Communications)

The stage setup includes modern seating, plants for a natural touch, and a large screen displaying the panel details and participant photos. A speaker, Martina Chapman, is addressing the audience from a podium. This event highlights critical discussions on navigating media literacy amidst the growing influence of artificial intelligence. a display table at an event, set up by the Education & Public Engagement team from ADAPT Centre. 

The table includes colorful educational materials, pencils, and printed handouts. A banner prominently displays the ADAPT Centre's branding, emphasizing "Engaging Content, Engaging People" and its focus on AI-driven digital content technology. 

The setting is Media Literacy Ireland conference which took place at The Foundry in Google HQ, with large glass windows overlooking an interior office environment. This setup aims to engage attendees with information about AI and its applications including the Algowatch EU project focused on AI and algorithmic literacy.
