I think that's a fair observation, but the slogan, too, is loaded with historical associations of a certain resonance:

recently, i learned of another lake washington situation where city had to re-purchase public lakefront access which adjacent property owners had usurped. i try to stay optimistic, but a lot of people really do suck.

heavy because they're compressed chips and particles held together by adhesives, wax, and other dense (usually toxic) compounds. but they don't have much structural integrity so they sag, as opposed to wood boards, which are more porous but have long intact fibers that give rigidity and strength.

Ah, this sheds new light on The Mandarins, a novel by Simone de Beauvoir, a roman à clef of French resistance figures in the aftermath of the war. Sort of a romance novel leavened with hard left politics and existentialist philosophizing. I liberated it from a free box and it's pretty good!

subpar pseudo French cleat not up to the task, partly because composite wood products used in flatpack cabinets are so damn heavy. once, when i was a salvage pro, i *struggled* to detach a lightweight plywood upper cabinet, which by that point was held up only by a fat bead of caulk. thx 4 sharing!
