Archangels are 2nd in the hierarchy, typically responsible for watching over cities or districts. Unlike other angels higher in rank, archangels have many opportunities to personally learn about and form relationships with humanity, as they disguise themselves as fellow humans for their duties.

Principalities oversee entire nations, and directly command archangels. While they still have a connection to humanity, their role forces them to treat humans with coldness and detachment, even more so than angels above their rank. A single Principality is often enough to kill any single demon.

Powers are the most varied of the angel ranks, each individual specializing in different weapons, magic, and strategies (though most will use swords). Human heroes who perform great and just feats of combat may also become sainted and promoted to Power, though they have the option to refuse.

Unlike angels of lower ranks, of which there are countless, angels in the 2nd triad and above are finite- In this case, only 7 Virtues exist at a time. They are the source of worldly miracles, as they are responsible for interpreting human prayers and intervening if their faith is strong enough.
