Just realized I could pin posts now so hi there! I'm Zeta, a Chicago based seamstress and cosplayer. I make all my own clothes and cosplays, so everything you see here is made and patterned by me!

My very reasonably sized skirt pockets and I are feeling called out
A photo of my hand atop the skirt pocket I made a while ago for scale. This was an in-progress photo of the construction process, so the pocket wasn't actually in the skirt here but I stitched it together and added it later. All this is to say Big Skirt means Big Pocket

Haha yeah it's for the VtM LARP group I do, there's a character who in-universe makes my character's clothes, and the player said the gown would be pink, and thus pink ballgowns have chosen me a third time and I cannot escape them 😂

Starting a new project before I've even unpacked my suitcase yet? It's more likely than you might think
A picture of an old beat-up suitcase with a pile of skirt panels on it made of embroidered white organza, pink brocade, and white cotton

Upping my cosplay trinket game by weaving some silly skrunkly little guys

#tabletweaving #crafts #superman #batman
A picture of a batman pattern threaded up on my tablet weaving loom. I use a rigid heddle loom that's small enough to almost fit in my lap, and a shuttle made of purple heart wood. I paint the edges of my cards to help me track where I am in the pattern as well. A section of the batman pattern. I'm making keychains so I decided 5 Batmen was probably a good length of them. A finished keychain of a skrunkly little Superman. I tied a knot at the end as a place for a keyring to go through. There's probably better ways to do this but uhhhh this is what I came up with at the time haha. I put fraycheck on the end so it doesn't fray

On this trip I have purchased Exactly as much fabric as I can fit in this suitcase and I think that means I purchased the Correct amount of fabric
A picture of my suitcase open on the floor. One side is zipped up with all my other stuff I need inside it. The other side is completely full of several different types of fabric.

Yet again I decided to Not con-crunch and not make something new for my next convention. And yet again that decision was usurped by me getting sucker-punched by the demon of inspiration, and here I am draping a new pattern on the floor of a living room I have still not fully unpacked.

I guess unnatural in that his father is undead? And generally speaking undead people do not have children?

But other than that uuuhhhh idk maybe there's more to the lore than the show depicts

AI Overview better be full of it. Wtf do you mean Alucard's middle name is Fahrenheit
A screenshot of a google search for when Alucard from Castlevania was born. The search shows the inescapable AI Overview Google won't stop forcing on everyone. The overview reads as follows:

"Alucard Tepes, also known as Adrian Fahrenheit Tepes, was born in the mid-1450s. Specifically, the Castlevania series establishes his birth year as
around 1456. In the series, he is depicted as being 20 years old when the story begins in 1476.
Here's a breakdown:
• Birth Year: 1456 (approximately)"

Need this images projected directly into the brains of all the hollywood period costume designers that think historical outfits were all shades of gray and brown

How to explain to a manager that I'm not "sick" persay I've just got a good ol' case of the "you know how sometimes it feels like someone scooped out all your bones and organs, put them in a jar, shook that jar up real good, and then put them all back in your body but just a little bit wrong?"

Never forget that Coco Chanel was a Nazi.

She spied for the Nazis and was literally in bed with a Nazi.

Fantastic Four: First Steps is a good self-contained movie with nothing wrong with it, which feels downright groundbreaking for the MCU right now -R
