The main hall area. Instead of going through all the maze rooms and second floor and such, you can walk straight to the far wall and follow him out, since you can already melt the wall.

Also, earlier, the vault door has the same combination if on the same difficulty, so no need to search.

Those endings grew more and more intense with each one.
It lets you skip over a big time consuming section of the game after the first run.
And you don't need to search for notes and things as much after the first run.
And it tells you which scenes are new.
So it's much shorter.

Finished all five endings of Silent Hill f.
As I said before, I was just going to play to the first ending, but I liked this story so much I kept going.
My ending order was:
1-5-2-3-4

Definitely my favorite Silent Hill game. Not even close.

Wow, the Letterboxd peoples really seem to hate this movie! 😅⁉️

A beautifully made witch movie, where the witch is a powerful woman who is a danger to both the patriarchal society and the women she uses to keep herself alive.
Does she use sex magic orgies to drain the women? Yes. Frequently.
It's a weird, bold, and captivating horror film.
Very recommended!

Night of the Damned (1971)
Filippo Walter Ratti (director)

One more before sleepy time...
A married couple are intrigued by a mysterious letter and go to their friend's castle to investigate and - Uh-oh! Black magic!

Quite peculiar!
It was recut without the director's input. This version restores the film as close as possible.
At the height of the satanic movie craze, this mixes Rosemary's Baby and The Omen, along with a giallo strand that doesn't quite come together well.
Interesting, but kind of a mess.

I don't know this one at all.
It's part of Vinegar Syndrome's 'Bloodstained Italy' release.

This decor is cursed, for sure.
A bedroom with curtains, tapestries, bedspread, pillows, upholstery, and the like, all done in brows, greens, and muted reds, and patterned in floral and tree patterns.

Oh my wow.
Kurosawa does a kind of erotic body horror. Or maybe, sexual attraction horror?
I liked this a heck of a lot! It's got some dreamy vibes that only serve to make it creepier. The quiet, subtle horror he'd bring to Cure and Pulse.
Definitely check a look!

Door 3 (1996)
Kiyoshi Kurosawa (director)

Kurosawa V-Cinema made the year before Cure.
I haven't this one, but I have heard that it goes more into overt horror than the others in the series.

Twilight People (1972)
Eddie Romero (co-writer/ director)

Filipino/American horror film based on The Island of Dr Moreau.
Pam Grier plays the panther woman.
And somehow, I've never seen this? Or have I?

I know I'm the audience for '70s Bigfoot movies... but this is better than I remembered.
Sure, Cundey makes it look great, which helps. And it's got the regional film character charm. But it's also a nice snapshot of the bigfoot craze era. Played seriously. And it works.

Creature From Black Lake (1976)
Joy N Houck Jr. (writer/ director)

Gotta get a Bigfoot horror in here somewhere, and it's been a long time since I've seen this one.
It's got Jack Elam, great atmosphere, and Dean Cundey cinematography.

I loved that one!
A playful Margheriti gothic giallo with a school instead of a castle.
From a script co-written by Mario Bava.
The always entertaining Luciano Pigozzi as the 'suspicious peeper'.
zeroville.bsky.social
I love his bored-guy acting style in this. It makes menthing of all the mumbly acting in the kind of movies it's a throwback to.

This is a real gem!
Wonderfully weird genre blend that continuously defies expectations.
Freda keeps us in the dark, steeped in the surreal, and even as it all comes together, your brain will be screaming (or squealing).

Experiencing first-time viewings like this is quite a thrill.

Ridiculous fun with some of the most drab comedy line delivery you'll hear. Funny on purpose, but doesn't lean into the "we're doing jokes!" style.
The director would go on to make Blood Diner a few years later.
There's a wonderfully odd dream sequence halfway in that is magical.
Check a look!

The Being (1983)
Jackie Kong (writer/ director)

I had a VHS tape of this in the '80s, and I'd watch it a few times a year.
It's a fun take on '50s sci-fi horror, with a wet and gooey monster.
With Martin Landau, José Ferrer, and Ruth Buzzi.

Agree! The bookend/framing is usually a tepid twist (they were --- the whole time!), but having this one act as its own segment while tying in the premise is so satisfying.

Asylum (1972)

I saw this ages ago, it's mostly hazy memory.
It's got Peter Cushing.
Written by Robert Bloch (Psycho).
