I feel like Covid destroyed Balmung and it makes me so sad. And what's worse is that these people who are openly talking about modding and gooning are the reason why we can't mod without conflict.

Had a guy in a LS say, for the last several days, that he became a true Balmung native to goon and I honestly wanted to be like "Sincerely, please stfu and go away".

I like sex as much as the next person, but genuinely, please make sure everyone around you is comfortable with that when they can’t get away from you. It’s incredibly offputting and I know for a fact that some people do it around minors. Please think before you speak.

Constantly talking about “gooning” in linkshells, mentioning ERP constantly, posting links that go to NSFW fetish stuff, and just generally being unable to carry on conversation without it always being sexual is a huge problem within the community…

I’m going to be very real about some opinions on the XIV community an I want to start out by saying that I don’t mind people being openly sexual and enjoying sex.

However, when you’re in public places with people, or even on socials, and they did not opt into that, I do have strong feelings.

You know what? The doodle or drawing you consider being "bad" or "not good enough" is so, so much better than the AI garbage that is made.

So be proud of your own work, at least you made the effort to create it.
