The easiest people to con are the ones that think they are smarter than you. I think Carney just pulled a big one on Smith. She is now positive she has a deal for a pipeline and can't ever admit she was out-foxed without losing face. There will be no new pipelines. I am reminded of 'The Sting'.

I see that the movie,"Nuremberg" opens this weekend. What are the chances of MAGAs currently starving children around the world, blowing innocent fishermen out of the water, beating and torturing POC,etc, WILL SEE ANY CONNECTION to what they are doing?

If there is a hell, I wonder if some people get an express bus straight there? No St. Peter interview, bam, straight to hell, working full time on a ball room for some big shot expected soon. I can only hope. Not because of any news today of course.

I am in some state of shock I can't describe, but how is it possible that the USA tripartite system with all the checks and balances, working for over 200 years, fell apart like a house of cards THE FIRST TIME it was seriously attacked, and from WITHIN the Country (albeit with outside help)???

Two of the most common climate misconceptions I see, even among knowledgeable folks, are that (1) most people aren't worried about climate change, and (2) if they were, they'd act.
Not true! Data show (1) most people are worried, but (2) they won’t act if they don’t know what to do-and most don’t.

I have been watching the excellent Ken Burns series on Prohibition. Canada supplied a lot of booze for thirsty Americans, and I was thinking we may have to do the same with vaccines. Never in my wildest dreams...
