My favourite 3 of the 2025 MUBI retrospective that came a couple of days ago, by that point of 55 films watched:
A ranking of 3 films. First is MYSTERY TRAIN from Jim Jarmusch, with an image showing a Japanese couple (a man and a woman) leaning against a bed in a hotel room. Both have smeared lipstick on their mouths. The second one is TO BE OR NOT TO BE from Ernst Lubitsch, with a black-and-white image of Nazi soldiers surrounding two men and a woman on a theatre stage. The third one is PERFECT BLUE from Satoshi Kon, with an illustration of a young Japanese woman in a négligée lying on a pile of leaves and various items.

A happy #LetterboxdFriday! A nice mix makes up my #LastFourWatched this week. I couldn't resist THE BOXER FROM SHANTUNG on MUBI; that and EXCALIBUR are close to 4 stars for me, but maybe don't quite reach it? I liked them though, and that's most important.

After having finished DRAGON AGE II, I've now started THE OUTER WORLDS, and my desire to virtually photograph is at a high not experienced since DISHONORED 2. Hopefully I'll feel like sharing more.

A happy #LetterboxdFriday! Two CASABLANCA extras and two films form these #LastFourWatched. I wish documentaries would leave out unnecessary spoilers. AWAKENINGS was so good that I like it despite the subject matter. BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE could have been better in a few ways.
