Yeah. Not only did she lose her closest friend(?), but also the only one keeping her on any kind of leash.

#hazbinhotelfanart #chaggie A one-shot inspired by Vaggie's recurring glares when Emily and Charlie hold hands. It's kind of funny, but also kind of sad (and inspired a few rancid takes). It's not wrong to feel jealous, but Charlie wouldn't want it to affect Vaggie's self-esteem.

Charlie and Vaggie are sitting together at the foot of their bed. Charlie looks slightly concerned.

Charlie: Hey, Vaggie? I can't help notice you seem... kind of upset when I hang out with Em... A-are you worried I might... pick her over you?

Vaggie looks startled, and very nervous.

Vaggie: Oh, God. Charlie, I--

Charlie: I'm not accusing you of anything! I-I just wanna know if what I'm doing is upsetting you... and I'll stop, okay?

Vaggie's calmer, but she looks down and hugs her arms.

Vaggie: Well no, i'-it's just... she seems so perfect for you, you know? She's so happy, she's so nice, she's completely supportive... she just matches your energy, AND she didn't do anything wrong. She just seems... better for you than I was. Less conflict, less doubt, and, well... less negativity, I guess. I know I come off as kind of stuck-up.

Charlie firmly grabs one of Vaggie's hands.

Charlie: Vaggie, let me stop you right there.

Charlie firmly holds Vaggie's hand with both of her own. Smiling brightly at Vaggie but practically pleading.

Charlie: I love you for YOU Vaggie. There's just no competition. Whatever your mind is spiraling towards, nothing is going to change how I feel. Emily seems very nice and supportive, but she's just a friend. We've only just met. But even if I knew her for 100 years, I'd still pick YOU. You're my rock, Vaggie. You've always been at my side in all of this. Even when you disagreed with me, I know you were just looking out for my well-being. Even after you LIED before, I never felt myself doubting that you DID love me.

Vaggie stares up at Charlie with starstruck eyes full of hope.

Charlie: You ARE good, Vaggie, you DO care so much. I'm so grateful. That's enough.

The girls happily press their foreheads together.

Charlie: I could say so much more-

Vaggie: Hush, hon. It's okay. I believe you now. Thank you so much... I love you too.

Charlie: Yeah. I'm not letting you go that easily! Everything's gonna be okay.

The girls then slump against each other shoulder to shoulder, already exhausted for what's to come.

Vaggie: ...Maybe here, but it could always get worse out there.

Charlie: ...Which is why I trust you. We're stronger together.

One thing I learn during my time making Chaggie art is in order to make their height accurate (standing wise), Vaggie's head should be in the same level as Charlie's chest while Vaggie's abdomen should roughly be in the same level as Charlie's pelvis.
