I just did the numbers and this assumption looks to be completely right.

Let’s pause for a minute and consider how INSANE this is. 🧵

Wow, this is so powerful. And so, so sad. Today, or tomorrow our arXiv will show up - it cites 2 out of the three physicists, and I knew nothing of their stories.
Wow: 101! Your post caused me to reread this Physics Today article about her father: "They were looking for a literature student suspected of being part of the French Resistance, but the ENS’s deputy director, Georges Bruhat ... refused to divulge his whereabouts" pubs.aip.org/physicstoday...

1/n Some time ago my colleague, excellent cook, and friend Ivan told me: "Cacio e pepe is the recipe that I screw up more often. Let's make a project studying systematically the physics of that sauce".

Prepare to get cheesy, I'm glad to share the Cacio e paper preprint:

DAMMIT NPR.

I spent nine months upgrading over TEN THOUSAND desktops at a F500 client. The grand total was over SEVENTY THOUSAND applications upgraded.

Y2K "didn't live up to the hype" because the industry busted ass to duct tape everything first.

People feared the computer glitch would mean "the end of the world as we know it." Thankfully, Y2K didn't live up to the hype after years and billions of dollars were spent on painstaking preparation.
Y2K seems like a joke now, but in 1999 people were really freaking out

It’s time for THE charger.

Today, the USB-C becomes officially the common standard for charging new mobile electronic devices in the EU.

It means better-charging technology, reduced e-waste, and less fuss to find the chargers you need!
