Trees can do a lot for Denverites, but I found disparities in where they're planted. I dug into five years of data for The Local Colorado. A third of new tress went to low canopy areas.

Stuck in Aurora ICE facility, more detainees are agreeing to leave the U.S. voluntarily
The government’s goal, lawyers argue, is to create conditions inside ICE facilities that push immigrants to voluntarily leave or to accept a deportation order.

Journalism is not a crime! I'm proud of the news organizations standing up to this.
Pentagon reporters could be seen leaving the sprawling U.S. military headquarters with boxes after at least 30 news organizations declined to sign a new Pentagon access policy for journalists, warning of the potential for less coverage of the world's most powerful military.

This records denial has maddened me for years and I'm eager for the state Supreme Court to make the logical ruling.

I was part of the team that filed this request. There is no way that getting the number of calls at a facility would somehow identify children.

Pulling Kimmel off the air in response to pressure from the FCC is pure authoritarianism and alarming
ABC's decision reeks of Orbanism. Hungary's Prime Minister Viktor Orbán consolidated control of the media in his country using autocratic carrots and sticks, and President Trump appears to be following the same playbook. I laid it out on CNN TV and in this column: www.cnn.com/2025/09/18/m...
