the "leftists" that can only critique Neoliberalism but can't critique Liberalism is the problem... liberalism is right-wing, liberalism is conservative, the state is the defender of private property - that is why it was born, its origin (the key to exploitation in this economy) not your friend....

when people say "socialism is idealistic" it's like no - literally liberalism is an idealist philosophy in which you have a lot of pipe-dreams whilst holding the contradictory positions that perpetuates oppression where as socialists wanting to use dia-mat want to untangle the contradictions...
