I should have made this up a long time ago, but another dog recently passed of ARVC (not one of ours this time) and it prompted me to get my butt into gear. If anyone hears of a sleddog passing suddenly please feel free to share this infographic on the off chance it winds up being ARVC.

Five years ago Yona was my best leader and on multiple occasions would switch sides to force the team to take a correct turn if they weren't listening. Today at our final turn, Comet ducked behind his co-leaders and pulled gee with all his might, mirroring Yona exactly. Like mother like son. ♥️

She's home and she's perfect. Sadly I came down with a cold that is taking a toll on me, so I haven't been able to spend much time with her yet, but there will be plenty of time for getting acquainted. ♥️

Oops, we flew in some more Alaskan doggos. Kingpin and Pan went to Over The Hill Senior Sanctuary, Trooper needed a running home and is staying with me while I foster him, and Lainey is a friends puppy that I'm watching for a month until she makes her way to the Midwest. All good dogs 10/10 ♥️

Today I made a big step in finishing my tether yard! Just have to finish pounding posts fully in and add cinderblocks in low spots. This was my goal before fall training started so I can move dogs to tethers and can let dogs run from the yard to the trailer since it's fully fenced now.

A fresh batch of Siberian potatoes ♥️ these three girls are bred by a very good friend and fellow musher in Maine who competes in 100s (and is aiming for Can Am 250 this year), I'll be bringing one home in a few weeks. Though not sure how one chooses between those three adorable faces!

The last photo I took of Jaye's place in NH. I spent the past four years learning to run a mid distance team and making so many core memories here. Jaye is officially on her way to Alaska, I'm settling into my new place in Maine. Though bittersweet looking back, new adventures await us both.

When you're really sick of driving 5 hours round trip 1-2 times per weekend 4 weekends in a row, and you're determined to not have to go back for a 5th 🤣 I actually have been grabbing as much as possible every trip, but dang us mushers have so much stuff!

Jaye made me a snazzy new sled bag. I've been borrowing one of her spare bags the past couple seasons for this sled but now have one to call my own. I love it! I went with purple of course and pink for visibility.

Frost's original owner of 7 years had to place her last fall and she had already gone through a couple more kennels since then. She is now 8 and had a couple litters over her life, and deserved some stability and to find her forever home.
