Nice second run in the Nike Pegasus. They aren’t as responsive as my other shoes as I feel they work my leg muscles and glutes more which is a perfect complement to my other shoes. They also keep pushing me forward like I’m going too slow.

They’re nice. They feel different than my other shoes with just enough cushion, not too much, and good midsole support. I was trying to keep the pace even slower but felt like the shoes wanted me to move faster.

There are scientific reasons why you run faster in cooler weather like your body needing more energy to combat heat and keep you alive thus taking energy away from your muscles for performance. But, I like to think that it's cold as heck and just want to get home faster.

Got a new pair of Merrell Nova 4 for snow, mud and technical trails. Retired my last pair. I’m breaking them in slowly as I don’t plan on using them until we get a good amount of snow.

When I run, my legs want to immediately go at DragonForce speed. Rest of me says to start at Lionel Richie speed, one of the most important things I learned running. I start each run very slow while maintaining gait with shorter strides, has prevented sore legs. No injuries either. *knock on wood*

I usually do some jumping jacks and a-skips right before my run. This morning a couple of deer in the front yard stared at me for a bit and took off. I totally felt judged. I know my jumping jacks were a little slack but wildlife judging me is a whole new experience.

Got new running shoes, Brooks Glycerin 22. While made for hard surfaces, they did really well on light trail and dirt roads. They pushed me to go faster than trail shoes.
