The more I learn about private equity, the more I'm convinced that those engaging in it are horrible people, and our laws and regulations encourage them to do their worst.

A just system wouldn't reward "investors" who destroy businesses, reduce competition, and hurt consumers...

For the record: if I see your post about running, I'm going to like it. I don't care if you ran fast or slow, or if your run was long or short. It's all about getting out there and doing it. Running is the ultimate cardio workout. There's no faking it. Run or run not, there is no try... #runsky

Has anyone asked John Roberts whether raping children could potentially be an "official duty" of a former/current/future President? I mean, maybe he'll just say Trump can do (and always have done, and always can do) whatever he wants, so what's in the Epstein files won't matter... #NoKings

Guillermo del Toro's "Frankenstein" is amazing! As someone who has actually read the book, I can honestly say that he gets it right!

Whoever gave it a negative review was probably upset he didn't have green skin and bolts coming out of his neck...

My whole life the GOP has won back power by liberals and progressives blaming Democrats for not fixing the problems created by Republicans fast enough and/or completely.

To everyone who didn't vote for Hillary: This is on you!
Just so everyone is clear: the President of the United States went to the Supreme Court to deprive millions of poor Americans of getting food assistance, including children of working parents.

In 2001, terrorists tried to destroy the White House with a hijacked plane. 24 years later, the president of the United States accepted a plane from people funding terrorists and destroyed the White House himself.🔄

If Biden had done this, it would have been the top story for a week. Republicans would have been calling for his resignation and Democrats would have been asked whether they still support him...

When the Democrats retake Congress next year with a filibuster-proof majority in the Senate:

1) Impeach and remove Vance
2) Refuse to confirm a new VP
3) Impeach and remove Trump
4) President AOC

Mayor-elect Mamdani's victory speech was amazing! I wish him all the success in the world...because the world needs him to be successful!

Also, I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that the new mayor of the NYC was born during my freshman year in college...and that's okay. #Mamdani

Friendly reminder that Dick Cheney was a firm believer in the "If the [Republican] President does it, it's not illegal" concept. He said as much as a US Rep. He would have LOVED it had the SCOTUS made Reagan or the Bushes truly above the law, so let's not pretend he's okay just because he's dead...

Since Republicans are so upset about paying to feed people, here's an idea: Any company whose employees are receiving SNAP benefits pay a tax penalty equal to 110% of the amount their employees received. This way, it costs them LESS to just pay their employees MORE...
An estimated 15.7 million workers use SNAP. It’s a lifeline for those in low-wage jobs.

Meanwhile, CEOs are paid 280x as much as the typical worker.

Don’t be angry at workers for using food stamps.

Be angry at the corporations paying them so little that they need them.
