so its also possible that pressure from the government could push the fed to reduce interest rates in an attempt to spur job growth by lowering interest rates when the aforementioned higher interest rates are creating stagnation.

were this to happen this would likely create stagflation.

which the federal reserve will be forced to fix with higher interest rates, which will likely cause the American economy to stagnate.

however the federal reserve has a dual mandate to not just control inflation but to also create jobs, so its also likely that this will create a conflict...

i think the more immediate risk is that reduced trade with the rest of the world (as a result of tariffs) will erode the deflationary effect that the dollar reserve currency has on the American economy, creating inflation...

the issue with de dollarization is that a replacement global reserve currency managed by a large trustworthy economy/state would need to take its place.

of course the more the usa acts out the more likely other countries will be to seek alternatives.

why stop with outer Manchuria, the Chinese could exploit a sufficiently weakened Russia to take defacto control of all Siberia and its resources.

just do what they have been doing with the belt/ road initiative and "help" Russia into becoming entirely subservient to China

the consensus (as i was taught) is that service based economies are superior to industrial economies in terms of improving individual standard of living.

the usa is currently a service based economy, "reindustrializing" would by that definition be a step back, its just so verry silly.
