"Pomme d'air" (apple of the air) is a pun with "Pomme de terre" (apple of the earth), which means "potato" in french.

For some worldbuilding around my fantrolls I came out with a stupid ass fruit called an "airpple" ("pomme d'air" in french).
It's an apple with helix-shaped leaves that flies in the sky thanks to wind and can seriously injure you.
They taste nice tho :)
