Latest study reported that IVF for women aged 43 and over is only successful with their own eggs 5% of the time. So the only option is to use donor eggs. Which means the baby isn't genetically yours. Why not adopt an older child in need instead?

And in other good news, my old dog's "inoperable" tumor is shrinking quite rapidly in response to generic prednisone. This is good news on many levels because the vet said if the trial of prednisone didn't work, the next drug to try, a TKI, is quite expensive.

Well, in good news, the local grocery store chain is offering $20 off your grocery order in exchange for getting (free for both) a flu and a COVID shot. There was a line. And no, they didn't ask if you were indicated in some way for them. Alive and looking vaguely human was good enough.

Why do the MAGA want to torture pregnant women? Tylenol is the only painkiller known to be completely safe during pregnancy. Under the MAGA, not only do you have to worry about bleeding to death in ERs, now you can't even treat your headaches and back pain. The birth rate will continue to decline.

I wish people would stop studying human nutrition in mice. The ideal mouse diet is mostly carbohydrates and very low in fat because they are granivores. Extrapolating human diets from studies on mice is as nonsensical as using studies on cow diets to guide your cat's diet.
