Cid's probably AU Ysayle's staunchest ally but is also the one dragging her into situations (Return to Ivalice and Save the Queen. Alexander doesn't count since that's their first meeting) so maybe it cancels out actually

also, and this is absolutely a me being insane thing, i feel cheated that they made the voidsent character look indistinguishable from a regular hyur. credit where it's due though her looking as androgynous as she does is totally an anomaly for this game

hardly a novel opinion but sadly i think she (Post-EW as a whole, really) was most interesting in 6.2, when she was first introduced (though i still took issue with them immediately absolving her of any and all guilt)

they lost me when they kicked Y'shtola out of the spotlight in favour of Zero fraternizing with a fascist (and a man, at that), so by the time her Job change came about i no longer really cared (still an insane downgrade though for sure)

it's actually a mix of Atropos' combat style (as a shade she can only really do swordplay, but back in the day they could do a bit of everything! polearm mode's actually a really pointy staff) with a weapon more suited to Tsiron's

to recap (not that there’s much), Exemplar (EXM?) is basically a mage-knight that uses both Light and Dark. its sword doubles as a staff. since i still haven't come up with a satisfying twist, let's just go with 'Dark=offense, Light=defense' for now...

i hope they've got a rework planned for it next expansion because while its animations are very flashy it feels like half of a Job right now (and barely like anything below level 80 or even 90). the 'two blades into polearm' gimmick feels wasted on it at the moment...

oh yeah, no doubt (my bet's on hammer Tank. don't really care what the phys. ranged DPS will be), i was thinking specifically about his comment that they'll expand on existing Jobs' gameplay *somehow*
