Communication is not a strength for me.
I've made a living out of talking AT people through videos, but I don't do well when talking WITH people.

For this reason I'm terrible at reaching out to anyone for collaborations, but even talking to companies for sponsorships makes me nervous.
It's right in the fascist playbook baby!
Jimmy Kimmel is cancelled for his mild political jokes about Trump and Charlie Kirk. Trump is calling for Fallon and Seth to go as well. He's going after the old networks one-by-one. It is only a matter of time until he tells Google to do something about the largest personalities on YouTube.
I guess it's for the best, during the test drive the AC wasn't working and the check engine light was shining like the sun. When I pointed it out the salesman's eyes got pretty wide. Looked like they didn't even know anything was wrong with the car.
Car salesmen are so slimy.
I just walked out of a dealership after a man identifying himself as the manager tried to tell me that under no circumstances could they take a tax credit for selling a used EV. I just got up and left, and am now looking at the IRS website saying they can.
Happy Labor Day everyone. I hope you can enjoy a small piece of peace today.
As for myself, I
I'm grilling!
The original Sherlock Holmes stories are interesting. So much of modern literature and murder mysteries owe homage to the detective and Doyle's works, but I really find them to be just schlock. Too many of the stories are just Holmes pulling an imperceptible magic rabbit out of his ass.
Here it is, sliced toasted and (homemade) buttered.
Less rise means less bubbles and air pockets in the bread, no surprise there. The cornmeal comes through in the flavor too, I can taste the extra sugars. The texture is where it's really different though. Turns out cornmeal is mealy.
Fresh out of the oven it didn't puff up much, if at all. Quite curious to find out how it tastes though, as cornmeal has some amount of natural sugars that neither wheat or rye flour has.
This is for breakfast though, so the first slice and taste will have to wait.
The first rise was roughly the same as a normal loaf of whole wheat. The second rise however was less impressive, even though I added vital wheat gluten to try and balance out how cornmeal doesn't have gluten.
The dough turned out a lot more sticky than I expected it to.
In my bread making adventures I have decided to try replacing a portion of flour with cornmeal. Will report back on the results.

I'll be happy to finally see the conclusion of Stranger Things. No clue if what they put out can actually meet the sky high expectations of it though. However, I'll enjoy the ride none the less.

I'm amazed at how well this turned out. Replacing a portion of wheat flour with rye and adding proportional vital gluten really helped it puff up. Also the flavor is a lot more complex. I may stick with this for the foreseeable future.
IT'S TRYING TO ESCAPE CONTAINMENT! Hurry, get me the knife so I can slash it, then we'll throw it in the oven!
I must confess, I have one big weakness as a creator.

I will sometimes reply to comments in scathingly salty and creative ways. I did it a lot in the beginning, and mostly don't these days. But every once in a while I still do when a comment is on the level of flat earth stupidity.
You don't get political often, but when you do it's always a pleasure.
The fact that there exist people who can drink caffeine and IMMEDIATELY go to sleep is, to me, proof of superpowers.
Sure, those people have a totally different set of problems they deal with, but at least they don't have their eyes forcibly held open just because they enjoyed an evening coffee!
One of the things I love about reading discussions about games on Reddit is how, out of nowhere, one person will have reason to say "ROCK AND STONE!"
Then the entire thread turns into voice lines from Deep Rock Galactic.
It happens infrequently enough that it's magic every time.
