A shoutout this morning to my conservative aunt & uncle who gifted me an educational CD back in '95 called Explorers of the New World. This game, unbeknownst to them, explained how Columbus & Cortés were absolute bastards and opened my eyes to real history.

Happy Indigenous Peoples' Day.

Great movie, but the craziest thing is they actually had to tone done the tragedy. There was another Von Erich brother (Chris) who had one of the saddest ends they had to entirely cut from the film.

Many moons ago I was master control for a Nexstar-owned ABC affiliate station. All I remember from that job is low pay, old equipment, talented people dealing with random corpo nonsense, & being laid off a week after receiving employee of the month. I keep it on my fridge as a cautionary tale.
