In farming when an animal gets an abscess we lance it and all the infection pours out. Then, it heals. I imagine writing about your childhood will be a bit like that.

China isn't "taking a hit". After Trump 1.0 they invested $$$ in transportation and processing infrastructure in South America to move soybeans. They are playing the long game and unless they can buy US soybeans for pennies on the dollar they will never come back.

My Dad saw Lena Horne and Louis Armstrong when he was a student at UBC in the early 50s. He wasn't impressed with Horne. Her performance was short. He loved Armstrong.
