The blatantly unconstitutional government of Donald Trump is violently and illegally attacking American citizens.

FACT.

How long will business, media, courts, state and local government allow this to continue?
Nice job @neguse.house.gov !!!

Horrible question by an incompetent or corrupt non-journalist.
@neguse.house.gov gives a lesson on how to reframe a journalist’s stupid question about #SNAP! 💪🏼
He’s not trying to win. He’s trying to use the trade war to make money for himself. Guaranteed.
No, the playbook is: 1) Break it, 2) Only fix it after collecting extortion money
Trump is getting a side deal of something for himself. Guaranteed.
The president is a serial killer.

Yes. This man would start a nuclear war to avoid being exposed in the a Epstein files.

Because he is a psychopathic maniac that has surrounded himself with extreme psychopathic maniacs.
Tax avoidance is theft from society.
Reporting what Trump says about anything as if it’s sincere requires playing a game of “Pretend.”
Libertarianism is always a symptom of ignorance, selfishness, or both.
Everything falls apart without taxes.

This is a discussion that could go on at length. But if you really think out all of the ramifications of no taxes it creates so many problems.
Not paying taxes is theft from society.

Nobody’s money and possessions exist without the benefits of society. Everyone owes a debt to uphold that society. That debt is paid in taxes. The End.
Confronting and stopping Trump’s illegal attack on the rule of law is not the same thing as “calling for violence.” Stopping it is the point. The violence isn’t the point.

No taxes = no society, no economy,no government, no country

I agree with the OP @dov.bsky.social that anyone arguing against taxes is so enormously ignorant of political economy that they should no longer be conversed with.
The other important thing to consider is that state and local governments need taxes to fund their services. The federal government does not. Beneficially inefficient federal government can be created independent of taxes. The one thing that Dick Cheney was right about: Deficits don’t matter.
I think z the answer to bad taxes is not no taxes, it’s good taxes.

Taxes are essential to the whole creation of the economy and government but should used as a tool to further the larger aims of society.

Lower them to encourage. Increase them to discourage.
More importantly finacialization (via Wall Street/Private Equity as well as VC-fueled tech “disruption”) has very clearly demonstrated that economic efficiency in most sectors is bad for all but the extractors (capital, financiers, etc.), but bad for businesses, employees, customers and society.
I will explicate. Economic efficiency is good for most businesses but not all (R&D or creative biz being the obvious exceptions). I think a solid argument can be made that economic efficiency is more often bad at the federal government level but more often good in state/local government…
Confrontation doesn’t need to be violent.

But confrontation is necessary.

We can use confrontational speech, confrontation of resources, confrontation with laws and courts WITHOUT VIOLENCE.
