John is in a desert setting to mimic Afghanistan. There’s a crashed US helicopter in the left background, which is in a flatter area surrounded by a low ridge. John has crawled up one ridge and is looking beyond to the right of the image while holding a gun and getting something out of his vest. Both the helicopter and John are in desert camo. He has a look of determination and focus on his face. There’s a light sepia filter over the whole thing but it’s not as bad as some other shows I’ve seen. God forbid a middle eastern desert has normal lighting 😂

Elizabeth just woke up in a mental health hospital not knowing how she got there. She’s wearing white scrubs and standing at a window with partially open blinds, looking at her identification bracelet on her left wrist. Outside the window we can vaguely see some greenery and a brick building maybe 30ish feet away. Don’t let those pesky replicators fool you, girl!

It’s Todd the Wraith!!! In our introduction to Todd, we see him now in a jail cell standing close to the bars looking out. There’s some patterned yellow lighting in the background- not sure if the light is being cast strangely or if the surface it’s lighting up isn’t smooth. It’s hard to tell with so little context. Todd has a green complexion with dark green facial markings- which are actually inspired by Kiss. He has a roughly star shaped marking around his left eye. His white hair is very scraggly since he probly hasn’t washed it in many years, poor baby. He also has a goatee about three inches long. He’s looking with interest outside his cell. You’ll be free soon, babe!

Ultra close-up of Ronon who looks pissed. We can just see his face and dreads. I just noticed his has a ring on one dread! It would be funny if he slowly collected more trinkets like Jack Sparrow.

Niam the replicator goes flying out into space when AR1 releases the rear hatch of the jumper. It’s a blurry photo but worth it cuz it’s so funny. The back end of the jumper is visible around the edges and then Niam is in the center. His arms are spread wide and his legs are spread eagle with his right leg bent. He has a shocked expression on his face, which is to be expected lol. I can’t believe it took this long to comically yeet someone into space like this. They did technically yeet that iratus bug in the same way but it wasn’t as funny.

Eight newly humanized Wraith are sitting in a semi circle in a makeshift army camp tent. They’re all sitting at the ends of their cots and all wearing white jumpsuits. Some are bald or have shaved heads while the rest have terrible white wigs. Only Lathan has a good wig since he has multiple speaking lines. They all look annoyed. There is also a boot sticking out the end of a cot which belongs to Michael but that’s the only part of him that’s visible. This whole plot is truly an ethical clusterfuck. They really let this retrovirus thing go too far. Don’t subject us to these party city wigs like this for no good reason.

Lucius, pictured left, is very creepily looking at Teyla on the right, who is looking away in frustration. Lucius is wearing non-time period specific clothing from the historical bin. It’s giving lazy late 18th century, though the women’s clothing would suggest a more modern period. There’s a woman’s head barely visible in the far background. Poor thing is probly under Lucius’ love spell; she deserves better, as does Teyla.

The other queens we’ve met have been pretty creepy and I feel like this one has made the most effort to appear human, which is interesting. Her skin color is barely different from ours at all, just a bit more pale on her face and then just a few strands of gray hair. So it makes wonder if she was intentionally trying to appear less scary or if the makeup department was tired of all the green.

This is a mid-space battle image. In the right foreground is the Orion which has just fired drones on the hive ship in the left background. The drones are arcing around the hive ship and causing many explosions- very nice visual effects. There’s a third ship in the right background and it’s honestly hard to tell if it’s the Daedalus or another hive. There were two hives in this battle but I think it’s the Daedalus because it looks like a cruiser is headed for it which lines up with the plot. So the other hive must be just off screen. I love a good space battle!

This is a dope looking skull made of fire surrounded by differently textured fire. The skull part looks more like normal flames and the surrounding area almost looks like stones. I guess that would probably be the hotter part of the fire at the base if this was a normal fire in any way. I’m now realizing that I don’t know how to describe fire very well. Anyway this was something that Vala saw in a dream about the Ori. Dun dun dun.

This is a promo shot for the season 9 cast and they’re all wearing civilian clothes. I assume they’re actually in front of a green screen but what we can see looks like a prop warehouse with a Stargate on the left and shelves and ladders and big lights in the back. Sam, Cam, Daniel, Landry, and Dr. Lee are all standing around an Ancient keyboard with an orange holographic display being projected from it. They’re in Dr. Lee’s office so there are lots of computers, machinery, and scientific equipment around the room. The keyboard is on a metal table with electrodes attached to it and a laptop and lamp also on the table. Cam is pressing a key on the keyboard and Dr. Lee is pointing at what he’s doing. You can’t tell from the photo but Sam and Cam are out of phase! Arezou and I spend several minutes of our podcast discussing how you would go to the bathroom if you were out of phase…. 😂

Cam and Sam are wearing their bounty hunter cosplay outfits while tied up and sitting on a long bench. Part of Daniel’s body is visible on the left side as well as the edge of a gun in the foreground which is blocking Daniel’s head from view. The background is a sandstone wall. I really want to know who at the SGC is making these outfits. The Lucian Alliance seems to really like leather, buckles, metal embellishments, and bits of fur. These outfits just look hot as in I would be sweating so much. It’s not really even sexy leather, it’s more grungey. They don’t look bad necessarily, just a little goofy.

22 of the alien bug R-75 are visible inside a hazmat viewing chamber with a scientist’s hand tapping the glass with a pen. The bugs kinda look like giant black beetles. They’re about one inch wide and two inches long with hard shells and two little horn things on their head. I could really do without a flesh-eating bug episode but maybe it’s required in sci-fi. Don’t eat while watching this episode!
