"Ahh." He said with a small laugh.
"So this is sort of your job to keep you out of the said trouble that right? Now that you mention it you /do/ look like a trouble maker~"

"Well kinda, not that long... I didn't start doing this because I wanted to; I got into trouble and was roped into this. But also, some demons just cause headaches by coming here, and it just inconveniences." He explains. "But I guess peacekeeping is the right word."
"You've been at it long then? Keeping the peace within the demon folk I mean? It sounds like you have since you seem quite knowledgeable about this stuff." Kyle was like a newbie compared to him!
"Oh yeah, there are certain regions, and cities were demons and other non-humans just live among people, some use magic or their natural ability to take on human disguises, and others like me are mixed with humans."
"A person walking past could be a non-human just going about their business."

"Huh..." Kyle mused, rather interested in all of this as he doesnt really have much to do with demons until now that is.
"To think that there's more of you guys out here than I thought. I knew demons existed to some extent but... not to the point where they have their own police sort of thing."

"Kinda, there's an actual official group that handles, demon hunters, sentries, people with magic as a lot of the non-humans who live here have to follow rules... I mostly take care of stragglers or specific individuals since I'm half demon."
He looked back at the place that had hurt him so badly.
“The city… It is not a good place… Bad people roam there.”

Zack's interest was peeked as this individual was trying to escape from the distant city.
"Yeah, I came from the far north direction. There's business I have in the city before heading past to the next region." He explains to the other. "Why were you trying to get away from the city?"

"So you're like some kind of demon police kind of thing?" He asked, that's what it sounded like to him in his head at least.
"Just keeping an eye on demons who are known for causing trouble... Since we live in a blended world but most humans aren't aware of demons and other non-humans living among them."
"Some demons come here looking to cause trouble... Since this city has a high populate of demons."

"Demons?" He questioned, definitely quite curious about that part of the other's job.
"Tell me a little bit more about this whole demon business?"
"Tell me a little bit more about this whole demon business?"
“Hmm… I do odd jobs here and there mostly I keep demons in line that find their into this city, or another hostile non-humans. Security stuff… I work at a bar sometimes.” He replies.
“I mostly keep to myself. Not a people person, when in large groups anyway.”

He shook his head.
“I’m… trying to get away from the city,” he said, telling the truth. It wasn’t safe for him there. “Have you crossed the desert?”

“Minding your own business… In the middle of a vast desert with no one around but me.” He pauses before lowering his guard.
“I take it since you’re not following me. You’re heading towards that city?” He gestured to direction of the city in the distance as there was nothing else around for miles.

"So... tell me a little bit about yourself then, what do you do and the boring stuff people talk about to break the ice." He said with a small chuckle.
“Alright then.” Alex replies as he takes the one of cans offered to him by Kyle. “Thanks.”
It was cool to the touch, as he cracks the top open. And takes a long sip from the can, he always did find alcohol refreshing and he didn’t much of preference for them.

“I wasn’t following you!” he rambled quickly. “Just minding my own business, promise.”
To his surprise Zack sees a strange man stumbling out of his hiding spot. For a split second he reached for a sword but when he couldn’t sense any malice or intent from the other, and the meekness in his voice. He stops himself.
“Hey…” He replies in a bit of an awkward tone.

He pressed his large body as close to the ground as possible, but slipped, completely revealing himself to the stranger as he fell in plain view of him.
“Hello…” he said, his voice meek.
“Hello…” he said, his voice meek.
Sensing someone nearby, made Zack stop in his tracks, the winds making his cloak sway in the wind, as he removed his hood.
He glances around, his eyes stopping the direction where he could sense a person.
Though he could not sense any malice or violent intent.
“Hello?!” He yells out.

Samson had hid behind a sand dune as soon as he sensed someone else nearby.
This far out in the desert, he never came across another soul and yet - about a hundred metres away - there was a man around his age.
He tried to quiet his breathing, hoping not to be seen, but he knew the man sensed him.
