Finished season 3 of #StarTrek #StrangeNewWorlds last night. Mostly meh.

The Enemy Mine episode was definitely the highlight.
Rewatching a favorite 🍸

There's a lot to like, and I definitely enjoyed it. A few scenes really stood out to me. But it's not the masterpiece that Kurosawa's High and Low is.
It's definitely worth seeing if you love the original, but it's much tamer and less gruesome. Seems aimed at a younger audience. Doesn't go all in and what made the original a cult classic.

It's not nearly as funny either.

Looks great, though.
Seems like the perfect time for a rewatch

TRAIN DREAMS - One of the best films I've seen at the fest. Not just for #TIFF50. But in all my years of attending. Moments of pure visual poetry + an emotional story of grief, time, and the interconnected of things – how this one unremarkable life is a significant part of an incommunicable whole. 📽️
