I'm sorry I just... Every time I see Elemental slander my brain goes ????? You can claim Gridanians are racist (bc they are, thru some skewed understanding of the Elementals' intent), but racism doesn't even exist as a concept for the Elementals, which are basically the personifications of aether

Ok one thing that ticks me off more than "DT is the worst story/expac in ffxiv" is "the Elementals are racist"

Like nooo?? The Elementals hate ALL outsiders. They even hate Gridanians. They just have a pact bc Gridanians promised to outlaw white magic that caused the 6th calamity

That do be it yeah. DFFOO was prob one of their longest running gacha games and they even terminated that. But instead of looking how to revitalize the game and maybe listen to feedback, they decide to cut it off. Ever Crisis seems to be doing okay so far but yeah we'll see

That last bit about revisiting their philosophy is spot on. And it's not just about their gacha games. But with the 7R, XIV, and XVI, I do believe they're starting to re-grasp that philosophy. 7EC also seems to be doing okay so far. I have hopes
