Crafting slowly since I'm trying to "document" my process on Substack so trying to make full tutorials of the whole decision making that go into designing &crafting a miniature fairy room. I've been really enjoying it since I'm working only with my traveling crafting supplies 🧶 & minimal purchases.
Current state of the fairy room, newest pieces are the cosy leafback armchair & sidetable. Miniature Fairy Room: dark brown parquet floor with dark green wallpaper with copper leave motif and twig wainscoting. A large reddish stone fireplace and a large orange door with decorative hinges. Centered in the room is an armchair in a mottled brown fabric and it's back shaped like a maple leaf. On the floor is a braided oval rug in brown, yellow and maroon. A stain glass window on the back wall is visible.

Went out to dinner with my Sweetie.Only directions I gave was let's go some place you'll really like. We ended up at a Brazilian place. He's taken me a a couple of these. My review: "It's a meat-fest!" The chicken skewer thingy was very good! And now you know why he's in charge of the food,

Was walking to school yesterday and noticed this leaf with the green still between the veins. I didn't have time to stop but I looked for it on the way home and it was joined by these 3 friends. Today's #BeautifulThings are Fall leaves on the Sidewalk.
Yellow autumn leaves a large and small maple like shape and a 2 of the fat but pointy variety. The interesting thing is that the round fat ones have a dark green between all the veins except right at the edge. All on a varigated grey background of roughly squarish cobblestones.

Why is that? What could it possibly be signifying? Might be a good miniature wallpapering tutorial that is linked in the post - I’d go check it out if I were you. A mysterious black painted miniature floor. On it a row of short boards in groups of three. Each section alternates directions. Further into the floor is a squiggle of glue delineating the next row of boards and a giant hand with a paint brush artistically is smearing the glue. This looks like a picture lifted from a really good tutorial, good thing it’s link above and you can find out all about this project there.

Being good and getting my Deutsch homework done first before playing with my crafting.
Focused on a black cup of coffee next to an open German language workbook. All of this sits on what is obviously a craft table - large purple cutting mat, various glue bottles in the background and what might be yarn and a emery board directly around the cup area. Yup, small spaces serving 2 masters.

Several pictures. One of a piece of cardboard stripped to the coorugation and being rubbed clean with a coffee stirrer, sitting on a brown piece of craft paper with a tube of brown paint near by. Another with the corrugation painted a yellowish brown, brown, white and unpainted. Then 2 smaller pictures - 1 of blob of white paint, smaller dot of tan and some dirty reddish brown tinted water (from a paint brush cleaning jar at hand). then a shot of the mixed colour which is an exciting dark mustard tan. And the thrills are just beginning - subscribe :-P a bright pumpkin orange fairy door propped up against a wall papered in a greeny-blue wallpaper with a leaf motif. The floor is cardboard and next to the door is a piece of cardboard with several small twigs clipped to it by 2 purple clips holding another strip of cardboard to keep the twigs upright. If you want a clue as to why this is happening, spoilers, I explain it in my substack.

Miniature Fairy room in process of being constructed. Carboard walls are visiable with some scrapbook paper up against the walls and a stone fireplace against the back wall. A bare plank door with cardboard frame is being held up against the wall with a toothpick and clip at the top. A dark wood step is directly in front of the door. And in the center of the room is a bright yellow, red and brown braided rug.
