I live in Chicago and passed by a school last week in my neighborhood. It's a bilingual school. The students were walking in a line outside of the school fence. There was a guy down the street with a whistle in his mouth, on the lookout. That's where we are now. Schools are living in fear.
But it's fun to play that game in your own mind for ten minutes, never letting it get beyond that.
For anyone not in Chicago, know that they're not going into high crime areas. They're going into safe neighborhoods where they can randomly pick Hispanic people and not get violent pushback. The motivation is not crime reduction.
That a formerly mainstream guy like Rubio can just stand there while he says that is really something.
How many racist tropes can one white man fit into one Tweet?
ICE is trolling streets in Chicago, picking up random Latinos. Go Republicans!
And Trump saying in a speech, "You'll never have to vote again." We have to be careful when we say he's a clown and what he says is so absurd, it could never happen.
teams who are willing to share the information after they've played a team. It's why teams change their signs from game to game. But if you hate Michigan, "sign stealing" sounds sinister. It's just not accurate within the context of how all teams decipher signs and the methods they use.
sent friends to games with their phones, which is the illegal part. I haven't encountered any Michigan fans who deny this happened and that it violated the rules. I do encounter people who wonder whether this gives a team an actual advantage when there's so much video available, and people on other
For advance in-game scouting, which is not sign stealing. Schools share signs with each other all the time, and watch advance video of the sidelines. Your school likely has its own Conor Stalions who "steals" signs both in game and pre-game via video and whatever other sources they have. Stalions...
and isn't grounded in any sort of reality at all, especially from someone who doesn't even know what Michigan did wrong.
in 1994 but the NCAA thought it gave wealthier schools an unfair advantage. Schools with smaller budgets couldn't afford to send people all over to "steal signs." So throwing around wild accusations of Moore being in cahoots with the Big Ten and its refs is just the sourest of grapes...
Actually, Michigan people didn't say that at all. They dug in and read the NCAA rules and the Big Ten rules, and learned that "stealing signs" is legal. Advance in-person scouting is not, and that's what the infraction was. They also learned that the rule was set to be abolished....
Sad state of affairs when someone as smart as you can't see what's right in front of your face: Michigan is the better team. You rely on outlandish accusations about paying off officials. Really ugly stuff.
We're going to have to come up with new words to describe these people because the ones we normally use don't capture the magnitude of just how awful they are.
"He's a master builder so all of these very complicated subjects are too difficult for you peons to understand. Only he can understand them."
He self-identified as an independent. This isn't a Dem purity test but a choice of how he wants to sit within the political spectrum. As an independent, he has the freedom to make choices outside of the party lines. But it also has its financial limitations. He wanted both.
You'd think the gilding of the White House would've been the tip off. Excessive amounts of gold is universally understood, but apparently also conveniently ignored.
I'm in Chicago. Friends have reported ICE on their streets (regular neighborhoods, not so-called "bad" ones), dropping tear gas canisters in places where families are out Halloweening nearby. They're taking 70 yo's and women in their 20's. No criminals. No murderers. No drug dealers.
Last night, the network ran a snippet of the Rush song, Freewill. They didn't play the lyrics but if they had: I will choose a path that's clear/I will choose Free Will. Rush is a Canadian band. Maybe unintentional, maybe not.
Happened on two different friends’ streets today during Halloween festivities. Families and kids all around. Picking up random citizens, not dealers or murderers or gang bangers. This is not about crime.
A government shut down benefits him, essentially makes him king. He can fund what he wants because he follows no rules.
He's an opportunist. He ran in the Dem primaries, using their resources and platform even though he was an Independent, and then his supporters got mad that the Dems wanted their own candidate to win.
