I agree. We shouldn't (knowingly) be spreading fake images. Otherwise, we're in danger of becoming like those on the far right.

Also, the image was reported to be a 27yo who was detained for jaywalking earlier in April.

MAGA and those on the far right often view #empathy as being a virtue signalling/woke concept.

But I wonder how they'd feel if they were to be racially profiled as "white illegals", and then forcibly disapeared to a containment camp and/or an unfamiliar country - and all without any due process?!

Even if there's lasting peace between Israel and Gaza, this doesn't take away from the fact Netanyahu and Trump are both fascist authoritarian leaders.

The former is a war criminal responsible for genocide, and the latter a convicted criminal who wants to impose military rule in America.

The Democrats have weak leaders who haven't spoken out enough about what's been going on. But there's also mass opposition and hundreds of lawsuits filed against the Trump administration.

It's an awful situation atm, but we have to trust that justice will prevail so long as people keep their heads.

Most sane people can see their actions are unlawful and based on a fake premise that cities across the US are in danger of being overrun by "antifa terrorists".

Violent civil disobedience will give the Trump administration an excuse to impose martial law across the country, so as to hold off a certain defeat in the 2026 midterms.

I'm all for mass peaceful protests for now, and then hammering the Republicans after they lose the midterms.
