I'm currently reading this and it's fantastic! I often find reading narrative history just as compelling as fantasy, especially with the right subject.

I love this movie, it may even be my favourite movie, for all it's minimal dialogue and superb artistic choices. One of Newman's best scores!
It's not only a visually striking film (in a bleak sense), but it's also a beautiful father-son story about innocence and redemption.

Verbinski's Pirates of the Caribbean were absolutely peak. We were blessed and they hold up.
I watched them just as much as LOTR. Black Pearl is widely considered the favourite entry, but Dead Man's Chest is definitely mine (only by a hair). The humour, kraken and that wheel fight are incredible.
