It was a real pleasure to be able to show Uplands School around Parliament.

Having visited Uplands school, I have seen the great work they do to create such an inclusive environment for pupils. The kids were fantastic, a real credit to their teachers.

A real privilege having Al Carns MP and Calvin Bailey MP come to Swindon last week.

They met with our local defence industry and spoke to our local Labour members.

It was lovely to visit Swindon company, Westwire Harnessing. They create bespoke harnesses and are already working in the Defence and Aerospace sector. They're seeing impressive growth, which is creating and will be opening a bigger factory in the new year. #SmallBusinessSaturday

Book Aid International has moved its warehouse from London to Swindon! They provide books and educational resources to millions around the world, and having their base here means new local jobs and a bigger role for Swindon in supporting global literacy. Thanks to my team who attended on my behalf.

Great to host @changelivesnotoknives and other knife-crime charities in Parliament. Jordan’s work is vital. MPs learned how to use a bleed kit and heard powerful stories from affected families. Thanks to Brad and Charles for the demo — it takes 60 seconds and can save lives.

It was fantastic to meet the new Chief Minister of Saint Helena, Rebecca Cairns-Wicks. Around 12% of the St Helenian community in the UK live in Swindon, so we have a strong connection, and I look forward to working alongside Minister Cairns-Wicks on some exciting projects.

This week in Parliament, I marked #WhiteRibbonDay where people around the world come together to stand up against men’s violence against women and girls This years theme is #WeSpeakUp. As men, it is so important that we use our voices to help create a world where everyone is safe and equal.

Really pleased to see the chancellor lift the two child benefit cap. This cruel policy punished children for simply being born, it was unfair and unnecessary and its removal will bring 450,000 children out of poverty.

Great news that the government are making entertainment more accessible so no one can resell tickets for more than the original price and bring in new punishments for anyone who does just that.

The Government supports live entertainment for the fans not fraudsters. 🌹🎟️
