I guess I'm on bluesky now.

Here's some of the work I've been doing looking at the Alaska State Legislature. 30yrs of looks available at willmuldoon.com/RCVAR

Looking to share some analysis and tools with the Alaskan homies.

Let us all talk that shit, collectively. Amen.

• This account was created after Cox's appointment.
• The handle is @AGofAlaska
• He solely tweets on issues related to Alaskan Governance.
• Promises work products of the office of the Attorney General in the Dept of Law.

This account is now subject to the Alaska Public Records Act.

Such a weird CR.

• goes to 01/30/26
• almost $1B in new spending via fund transfers. (Relatively small, not relatively 'clean')
• No ACA EPTC protection but guaranteed ACA standalone vote(?!)
• U.S. Marshall and Supreme Court security detail increase?

Morgan gets home in about a week, or ~3hrs before the 2003 transcripts are done.

(I think this will run cost ~$12 in electricity...168hr * 250W @ $0.27KwH)

Transcription engine is humming. ~2000 #akleg meetings so far, right into the summarizer which runs 24/7 at 97% utilization.

Building the vector processor right now. Goal is to have a holistic semantic vectorized model of an entire two year Alaska State Legislature before Thanksgiving.

Just found out Fairbanks does not have cheap hydroelectric power shipped in from Juneau.

Training an Ai to ask it to look at whether the Legislature discussed buttcheeks fifty years ago may have cost me $3.24.
November 7, 2025 at 6:18 AM
I used the query 'summarize buttcheeks' to see if my summarizer of the summarizer would hallucinate.

It did not hallucinate (The transcriber still has some present as artifacts), but the semantic search returned a summary on Dump Truck Operators.

Got my batch summarizer and semantic indexer fully rigged up.

I now have a complete pipeline that will download/transcribe/summarize/index all legislative proceedings and place them in a database that a custom setup LLM can access and handle natural language queries. #akleg

CBJ is getting sued over Telephone Hill. Good.

Not my fight, but they definitely moved too quickly. Pretty sure our eviction notices came before the vote.

Already sent my email to CBJ asking for clarification on the unequal treatment of tenants and their stance on the Juneau Independent articles.

CBJ sent us a rent request. You know, for the place they evicted us from months ago.

I've got a hankering suspicion that they've got a fun filled winter ahead, and I am looking forward to the blooming of good governance in the spring once this is resolved.

Here's a summary of the #akleg Senate Floor session from my birthday in 1975 generated from an ai I trained on transcripts I generated from archival recordings.

just finished a 22hr job on the 5070Ti.

The progress bars in the console did the thing!
November 3, 2025 at 10:17 PM
Ran the 5070 Ti at full clip for 15.5 hours with no performance or temp issues. Looking at 4-7% Word Error Rate overall for the entire 1975 floor sessions, but will need to confirm.

It can handle the transcription engine and full graph matrix multiplication without paging. That's insane to me.
November 2, 2025 at 11:49 PM
Achieved <5% word error rates on archival record transcriptions of Alaska State Legislature's floor sessions from the 70s this weekend.

Excited to get even weirder with it all. 🤖

Semantic layering with Natural Language Processing are kicking my ass RN.

My ETL and endpoints are solid, but the corpus is all mashed potatoes. I can instantly serve slop without cloud.

It's super fun tho?

Why they give me the Pancho Villa tho? I already rock a pencil.

Shouts to Nvidia and #akleg mashups.

I'm currently transcribing every floor session from 1975 to present on an Nvidia card using CUDA and Whisper.

Someone could have ran an 18/18/18 challenge tonight. For the country. For the fans.
unbelievable that beer sales have been closed for 7 full innings. get the Commissioner on the line. call the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. convene the LA City Council. this is an emergency. I need to see what would happen to this crowd if they let the taps flow

Instead of just giving the Ai read/write on a DB of legislative data with canned functions...

I chunked and indexed the files themselves before ingesting, extract and flattening before normalizing into a duckdb.

I'm thinking this way I'll have semantic/meta/relational layers baked in 🤷‍♂️
