Ahhh, finally...

So it took much fiddling to get the formatting right - Amazon KDP kept printing the main text microscopically tiny.

But finally... FINALLY...!

'Two Brothers Went Fishing' is now out in paperback.

Just in time for Christmas.

Me doing my "in the Criterion closet" video:

Okay so where... is... Richard Lester's Royal Flash?

Also Confessions of a Window Cleaner?

You don't have those? Could you check out back? Great.

Oh and is there any way I could borrow a DVD player from someone?

Look I'm just as concerned about climate change as everyone else, it’s just I really want money, I want that fucking money.

I support the social media ban if it does anything to prevent a generation growing up thinking just putting apples and mince in an air fryer is food.

Only four weeks left to enrol in conservative Facebook groups so that on the 24th December you can post “Happy Holidays!” to all members just to boil their piss.

It's weird to not only have lived through an information revolution but also now living through its undoing, all within less than a generation.
Google at its peak was basically the best information retrieval system in human history and they and every competitor decided going from there to “you didn’t want answers you wanted half-assed auto-complete 80%-wrong hallucinations” in a few years was the right idea

This from @squigglyrick.bsky.social is an absolute treat. French history, French rural life, French knee injuries.

Go on, spoil yourself. It’s Sunday.

No Genou is Bad News
This horror story begins with a wandering brass band; my sirens. I will follow a brass band anywhere. There is just something about the way a tuba cuts a shape on the horizon – so brash, so untoward ...

November 2024: This won’t be like it was eight years ago. Back then, MAGA had no plan for being in power, they didn’t even expect to win, once in office they went off the rails pretty quickly. This time, they have a program, they’re organised, they’re disciplined.

November 2025: Wait, who’s Bubba?

Just went to the toilet and when I came out, my cat was sitting just outside like she was listening to me, fucker.

Marvellous. Back on the old website, if you posted anything critical of SUVs, you’d be inundated by retired engineers and Jeremy Clarkson wannabes squawking about how they’re actually perfectly safe and “shut up I want big car”.

But here on BlueSky, not a reply guy in sight.

Paradise.

Just checked in on LinkedIn to see how the thought leaders are taking the news about the Liberals and net zero.

Yup. Still talking out their arses.

ROGAN: Who's on next week?

JAMIE: Elon.

R: Again? Fuck.

J: Come on Joe. He’s great for our metrics.

R: Yeah but... the crap he comes out with… I can’t keep pretending to take him seriously.

J: Dude. Think about the clips, the clicks. You got this bro.

R: (deep breath, nod) OK. I got this.

the goal should be to make these guys realize the change they want will never happen and if it does happen it's actually bad and makes their lives worse so they should just check out and watch their silly little stories (worldstar videos of dudes hitting each other over the head with chairs)
on the other site, a magnificent post of extraordinary proportions

It’s like people really thought “I wish there was a president who would just make everything alright for me and make everything I don’t like go away. I don’t understand why there isn’t someone who’ll do that.”

And then: “Oh, there is. At last. You have my vote sir. This will surely be excellent.”

This obsession with dumping net zero just seems so insanely perverse.

They would rather die, or at very least have higher energy bills and more pollution, than agree with anything the other side says.
