I think that running a 10K is a good thing and getting a Covid booster is also a good thing but in hindsight doing them both on the same day was not a good thing.

The new updates to @shortcatapp are so good! I can't think of a better example of how accessibility features can improve usability for everyone.

Not a bad evening to sit out on the deck listening to Gillian Welch and watching fireflies if you ask me.

Really great to see @pedrothelion tonight for the first time since… um 2000, I think? Wait that can’t be right can it? 👴

I just tried this with https://t.co/WNRjfDJv5i and like everything else with @tailscale it is infuriatingly easy.

Broke my Wordle streak today but it came down to luck. I realized it would be possible to get 4 letters correct on the first guess and still not be guaranteed a win.

I like the meta-wordle of trying to guess what other people’s guesses were based on the score they post.

Can't believe I didn't realize my public keys were in Hmong this whole time. No wonder I couldn't read them. Thanks Chrome!

Going to hell because of a recalled baptism would just be the worst. Can’t they patch them with an over-the-air firmware update or something? https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2022/02/15/catholic-priest-wrong-word-baptisms-invalid/

One of those days where you put your coffee in the fridge instead of putting the half and half back.

Honestly I would have rather lost in OT against the Bills than have to watch this.

After finishing this video I turned to look at my dog sitting next to me on the couch and felt extreme envy because he’ll never have to know anything about NFTs https://youtube.com/watch?v=YQ_xWvX1n9g&feature=share

Before shoveling the driveway today I decided to look up optimal snow clearing patterns (as you do) and learned that snowblowing is NP-complete: https://www3.cs.stonybrook.edu/~bender/newpub/2011-compgeom-snowblowing-ArkinBeMi.pdf

If you created a monster from the DNA of Benedict Cumberbatch and Engelbert Humperdinck what would you call it? Bengelbert Cumberdink? Engeldict Humperbatch? Benebert Cumperdink? It’s impossible to decide.

The hardest problem in software engineering is being able to tell the difference between making some adjustments to a good solution and adding more fixes to a series of bad solutions.

Very disappointed to learn that the 100m butterfly is a swimming event and not anything like Mothra.

I love this: https://t.co/xC69b9xuEs 5 years later, someone recommends a package that does exactly what the question asked. The twist? The question asker is the author of the package and they wrote it because they couldn't find another solution. They accept the answer.

One of the best/worst things about software development is constantly realizing that you've been doing things the hard way and there was an easier way to do it all along.

So do any applications that use USDT/DTrace probes actually have them enabled in official releases? Seems like it’s pretty common to have to build from source and set a flag to compile them in.
