Love somebody. Make them food. Wife and I married 36 years. We try to laugh about something every day. Columbus, Ohio USA.
Pantry Mediterranean-ish fish. Frozen Cod, canned diced tomatoes, an onion, fridge olives and a bit of prosciutto (why not 🤷). Various seasonings and good olive oil. Quite good! 🍽️🍜

Beef and Bean Enchiladas. Made a big batch of filling using beef from my sister's cow, so several future meals on top of leftovers. 🍽️🍜

New puppy means eating lots of whatever is around. My Spouse looks at a lonely box of GF Mac and Cheese in the pantry and says "Not today, Satan". Then she whips up a quick cheese sauce for sourdough pasta, leftover rotisserie chicken, & freezer peas. 🍽️🍜

New dog just dropped. Stella is an F1 Bernedoodle. She's 8 weeks, so new food content may be limited for a bit.

Roasted Salmon over a Parsnip Puree w/balsamic drizzle. Roasted Pear with blue cheese, pecans, and craisins over Arugula, Maple/Dijon dressing. All various elements from recent dishes.

Making food is self care for me. 🍽️🍜

My sweetie ❤️ ordered me a custom cutting board, which just arrived from Ukraine. Need to slice something now.

Broke from the news for food videos and kept seeing "Chicken Valdostana" which was new to me. Essentially chicken cutlets with prosciutto, mushrooms, and fontina cheese in a buttery wine sauce. Took ideas from 3 different vids and freestyled it, adding a squirt of lemon. Quite good actually. 🍽️🍜

Starting off 2026 with a Harvest Hash. Sweet potato, onion, Brussels, honeycrisp apple, local blueberry maple sausage, chopped pecans and craisins. Plated on crumbled cornbread and a topped with a couple eggs and a balsamic, Dijon, maple dressing 🍽️🍜

Brisket Burnt Ends made from previously smoked & frozen brisket points. Added rub and brown sugar, then sauced and smoked another couple hours. Totally Meat Candy.

The Brisket Fairy also visited some neighbors here in Columbus. #CFP 🍽️🍜 #BBQmunity

Friend was gifted fancy pears and got two orders by mistake. We benefitted and braised in wine, OJ, Star Anise among other things and served with vanilla ice cream. 🍽️🍜

We skipped town right after Christmas for a few days, so we kept that evening simple with Brisket and Butternut Squash Chili (see down page) and a Vegan Chickpea Noodle Soup. Both were super tasty. Recipe for the Vegan 🌱 soup in the comments. 🍽️🍜

I got Kid #1 making a charcuterie platter and Kid #2 making cocktails. They're both off the payroll and in solid relationships with nice people. Life is pretty good.

A great thing about having adult kids is they can staff the hime bar. I had a Spiced Pear Martini and an Espresso Martini with Bourbon Cream. 🍸 Followed by game of "Taboo"

The Bluesky food feeds definitely should have a Sausage Tree as should every holiday party! 🍽️🍜 #Foodsky #BBQmunity

*Not my creation, but I'll borrow this idea in the future.

Need a last minute Christmas cocktail idea? 🍸#1 just dropped the specialty drink menu for the next few days. All tested and tasty. (One makes a batch and yes she laminated it)

Another #Vegan 🌱 dish. Parsnip Puree, Roasted Carrots and Brussels Sprouts. Topped with olive oil and a balsamic glaze. Great family-style, though inspired by an appetizer at Piccolo Forno in Pittsburgh. 🍽️🍜

We eat a lot of animal protein around here, but have vegans in the family too.🌱 Made a Vegan Cacio e Pepe.
Used Bionaturae pasta which is sourdough-based so good for those sensitive to gluten. Everybody eats!

Brisket and Butternut Squash Chili. Great use of leftover brisket points from the freezer.

I actually made a recipe and won two prizes with it, but I often freestyle this one

Cutting up two Brisket Points from previous cooks to make chili. I tell my wife "There's more here than I can use". She says "Can't you make Burnt Ends with the rest?"

SHE TOTALLY GETS ME!!! ❤️

I like going to dinner parties where I only give grilling advice and drink someone else's wine. Heritage Pork Chops with Fig Balsamic Sauce. 🍽️🍜

My sister insisted I take a bunch of their freezer cow home to OH from NC. This is our first dish using something other than ground. Port-Braised Chuck Roast with Star Anise over Polenta. Pressure cooked so it was super tender. Adapted from a Melissa Clark recipe. Cab Franc 🍷
