Nice! The first time I ever used our company's AI playground, I made it talk like a pirate. So satisfying. 🦑 🏴‍☠️ 🦜 ⚓
What's stopping you? You're interested in it, so you'll thrive during and after the learning curve. Go for it!
Tech writers/devs/AI gurus, have your come across any good AI tool that will audit your API library and tell you what's missing/needs improvement?

Mine is usually limited to dodgy dad jokes in French. It builds rapport for sure.
Wow, I just googled the channel-billed cuckoo. Proper dinosaur!
Sarah, is that the only native cuckoo in Australia? I remember being surprised when I heard we even had cuckoos. I had no idea until 2020.
Have you heard about the em-dash conspiracy? What do you think?
True or not, the em-dash is the Gen X of English syntax: it's often ignored, highly misunderstood and just gets on with the job. I love that it's having a moment of fame.

A year ago, I planted some trees thanks to my employer's generous volunteering allowance and Tree Project treeproject.org.au. I went back and did it again in the Yarra Valley this year. Highly recommend!

Puppy yoga* at work. Highly recommend! Top way to break barriers between writers, developers, PMs, managers etc.

I'm with the TC when it comes to Superb Fairy Wrens. So beautiful and spritely.
It's a constant battle. Hard to find time for that when you're already always playing catch- up on life in general.
Two attempts at the same message – danger of damage. One works much better than the other by switching the focus of concequence to the reader's belongings, plus humanised language, a bit of humour, and an evocative image.
What do you think?

I'll never forget our Support guy forwarding an email from a customer asking how they could resolve the "Nice one, dumbshit, you broke it." message that appeared when using our software. Dev team were sheepish for a bit.
We have a library at work and I found this gem. Immediately thought of @winklorch.bsky.social.
Not quite the Jura of Haute Savoie though...
My favourite interview question is to ask applicants about the difference between en-dash, em-dash and a hyphen. Am I mean using this as a decider for employment?
Hooray! Someone decent to follow on here!
@abcnewsbot.bsky.social did I really just hear a reporter say "off of" on her report about Adelaide road safety cameras? Gobsmacked.
