"Unfathomable and Unacceptable:" ICE has detained Cliona Ward, a Santa Cruz, California resident from Ireland who held a green card for thirty years, over convictions expunged two decades ago.

She has been incarcerated since March, as she awaits a court date in May.

This is a big deal. Senator Cory Booker’s courage to speak out so loudly and boldly on Capitol Hill will most certainly give others courage to get louder and bolder. I was in DC last month and it felt like a police state - there was little tolerance for free speech opposing the administration.
