Early childhood education is not a “public benefit”. It is a right.

As I’ve said before, in order to build a mass deportation operation to root out 4% of the population you must first build a police state.
Four years ago I read Chandran Kukathas' argument that immigration control ultimately relies on the surveillance and coercion of *citizens*. Soon after I read Joseph Heath's very minimal argument that in principle there ought to be a ceiling on immigration. I wanted to put the two in conversation

A 2-year old US Citizen was deported Friday to Honduras.

“The judge on Friday scheduled a hearing for May 16, which he said was ‘in the interest of dispelling our strong suspicion that the Government just deported a U.S. citizen with no meaningful process.’”
