AP Chem Ss had a fun time playing this electron configuration relay!! This helped make sure the same person didn't answer all of the questions and that all Ss in the group were involved! Plus, it revealed some misconceptions and failure to read issues!
Today was the first day of my 20th year of teaching!! It was a great first day!! Classes were doing some science! I’m exhausted but my heart was happy having the students back in my classroom!!! Hope everyone else had a great first day as well!
Chemistry nerd alert! I am using Procreate on my iPad and some hexagonal graph paper to practice drawing structures for my new organic chem class! Nice to know I’ll be able to draw structures and insert them into documents for class!
Thank you Eric and Jaclyn for some fun lab ideas for equilibrium, molar mass of a gas and kinetics!! Can’t wait to try them out! @chemed2025co.bsky.social
Mole breakfast, coffee and conversation on the green with new friends…just another reason why I love @chemed2025co.bsky.social
I can’t think of a more deserving person for this amazing recognition than my friend, chemistry teacher extraordinaire and all around awesome individual than Roxie Allen!!! Congratulations on this award!!
Beautiful mole run trail today!!! Thanks for organizing @chemed2025co.bsky.social
Nerdy chemistry conferences are the best when you find fun teachers wearing the same shirt as you! Great day of sessions today!!! Looking forward to tomorrow! @chemed2025co.bsky.social
In Golden for some chemistry fun @chemed2025co.bsky.social !! Have already gotten to meet with so many educators and looking forward to four days of chemistry!!
Excited to be a first-time @chemed2025co.bsky.social presenter! Ss need to practice chemistry to learn the skills… I will be sharing ways I have engaged Ss in the practice of chemistry!
Chemiluminescence of copper wire! How cool is this?!?
This was such a cool demo to show difference between a strong base (NaOH on right) and a weak base (NH3 on left). Use universal indicator and equal quantities of dry ice to show how pH changes.
Thankful to have finished my Masters in Chemistry with a Chemical Ed. Specialization from South Dakota State! Learned a lot and became an even better teacher through the program! Let me know if you have questions!
