When Futurama put out that episode, years ago, about how incels are obsessed with exploiting Marilyn Monroe even long after she’s dead, I didn’t realise how painfully on the nose they were being. ☹️

I’m not nearly literate enough to start going around naming specific ideologies, but certainly the more I hear about politics the more moment I have like this…

If they were all like that then this newspaper would have gone out of business.

I will never understand the right-wing obsession with fat-shaming poor people. Surely if they want to showcase nonsensical bigotry, they can at least be a bit more creative about it.

Great work on all of these, but ‘The Sands’ is far and away my favourite. I may or may not have let out a tiny squeal of delight when I saw it…

But what if… White Wolf still made all the same bad decisions while TSR was left to languish and die?
Would the backyard indies have come out at the top of the pack? Would the entire hobby have faded into memory? 🤔🤔
(What-ifs are pretty fun actually)

After complaints about Timothy Dexter's A Pickle for the Knowing Ones (1797) being entirely devoid of punctuation, in future editions the eccentric businessman supplied a supplemental page so that people “may peper and solt as they please”: https://publicdomainreview.org/collection/dexter-pickle

People are wishing each other a happy #portfolioday, so here’s a random smattering of my sci-fi and #fantasyart from over the years…

I love how poetic some of the alt text is.

I haven’t seen that sample image of the bog witch before! I’m in love with it!

And then pairing it with a very flattering picture in order to tap into mens’ paranoia about accidentally going on a date with an ‘ugly’ woman

I have no idea what that is, but judging solely by the name it sounds like ‘conservation of ninjutsu’ is a concept that would fit right in with it!

I’d say Call of Cthulhu could serve nicely.
Personally, all it took was for me to try ONE game that wasn’t D&D before my mind exploded and I began tumbling down the infinite rabbit hole of ‘what RPGs can be’.

Me when my special grey mug is dirty and I have to decide if I’m prepared to drink tea out of the KHAKI mug instead

I realised I have similar instincts when I was running a 5e game for kids and decided on the fly that a monster they were fighting could cast a spell to chop the DMPC up into little meat cubes and sear them medium rare 😬😬

The first place my mind went was ‘they’re just like Saiyans!’
Dragon Ball from Freiza’s perspective would make for an interesting elevator pitch… 🤔

While it makes my brain explode from a verisimilitude perspective, it WOULD make for some epic combats.

My partner keeps telling me that enemies in my game’s combat phase should have a static number of turns that they all have to share. One character has more turns if its allies start dying (initiative is like in TROIKA!).

My favorite of the set, failwife occultist for the Sunfall Cycle and the raven shopkeep who barfs gold coins :3

A tall olive-skinned woman with short white hair standing with a derby cane and pulling a gilded skull from her wide sleeves. She is wearing several layers of elaborate robes, with rich reds and teals and gold accents. She is also wearing a sacrificial dagger and a chatelaine on a gold chain across her hips.

Thank you!! You’re a legend. Hope you find something in there you enjoy.

Apologies for the self-promo but I'm running a hard times sale on all of my paid games (at very reasonable prices!!) at the moment and I'd love it if folks checked it out.
There's cavemen, pirates, promethean sky whales and-of course-giant robots!

One HUNDRED per cent. I think I’d be disappointed if I ever ran or played in a campaign in which at least one party member didn’t find a new rat friend.

Stylistic consistency? Who’s she? Never heard of her.

These are brilliant. Love your style and adore these characters’ designs…
