A manga all about the childhood and early career of Masahiro Sakurai has been announced. It's similar to the Satoshi Tajiri manga that came out in 2018.

One volume, and it will cover the creation of both Kirby and Super Smash Bros.

A manga based on the life and career of Masahiro Sakurai is coming 11/18! Roughly translated as “Masahiro Sakurai: Making The World More Fun With Games” it focuses on his childhood, creating Kirby and Smash, and beyond. Only one volume though so definitely an easier read than One Piece.
