It shows a complete lack of interest in having genuine connection with the other person, either romantically or as friends. This is not a “mistake,” it is outsourcing emotional tasks to a computer which does not have emotions. They didn’t “heavily edit” it, clearly, so they are also a liar.

If the psychological toll would result in them offing themselves or quitting and having a change of personality that would be great. But they likely are just lashing out more physically at their victims and then at home at their families.

A lot of folks may think that just yelling at ICE agents is ineffective, but consider the cumulative psychological toll of being yelled at EVERY DAY when trying to do shit. Even the biggest asshole in the world who doesn't give a shit about other people will feel the pressure.

Employers interfering with workers’ rights to file claims is so common in Ohio. Probably not on the level of this NY company but it’s shocking the things companies will do to avoid claims.

Workers are investigated for WC fraud all the time but you never see the companies get investigated.

I read a historical archive interview last night. The man was asked about living through the great depression in the US. He said it didn’t affect his family much, they got by. He was asked how he has seen things change politically and he said he was never too into politics. Very telling!

Looks like they maybe just used paper tape then painted multiple coats of paint over the repair. But actually repairing plaster and lath is not cheap so I get why someone would try patching. My house is all plaster 😞
