Or maybe we should just do like the Chinese dynasties and have anyone who wants to become a high ranking politician or even just engage in politics get their meat chopped.
Although history seems to show that that might be a bad idea.

Hot take, every president should take an oath that if they or the next four presidents after make the economy worse, all four of them alongside Congress will all have their meat chopped, diced and sliced.

This way every president will think in terms of the long term rather than just party agendas.
