my dragons have an average lifespan of ~100k years but that's because they're an inorganic species and the only thing limiting their lifespan is the soul's tendency to run out of energy, while "gods" can replenish their own

usually things don't live close to that long so it's not usually a problem

magic works differently after accumulating extra time, "gods" use time accumulation to gain more power. additional time can be exchanged to create and destroy

"mortals" gain the ability to accumulate time after reaching the zenith of magic, or if they can comprehend the language of the time jumpers

my dragons are an artificially created species that live on a rogue planet and "god" is a term for a being that has accumulated more time than it has lived.

The Dreamer and Enigma are "gods", while Warp, Bubbles, etc are "mortal".
